Double trouble?

I wanted to play with some of my new items that arrived last week, and I thought I would start with the Beautiful Butterflies BIGZ Die. I added some texture with different embossing folders, no one likes a flat boring card right? And then I made a big mistake! Note to self: please check your stamp to make sure you have re-inked it when stamping on more than one project, Grrrr! I thought I would post my mistake also, I wouldnt want you going around thinking I never made any, lol. Thanks for peeking in today!

What did you do on Sunday?

So.... here in Germany (and most of Europe) Sundays are a bit quiet. Most everything is closed, and I normally go to the grocery store on Sundays and occasionally clean my car. Except for cooking and doing laundry I  dont have a whole lot to do. Ive decided that all future Sundays would be reserved for scrapbooking since Im light years behind. Below is what I managed to accomplish this past Sunday, now if I could just get my photos orgainzed I would be in business! Thanks for peeking in today :)

Cardstock Glorious Cardstock!

So...... I was placing a big ol' SU order last week and decided that I really needed to purchase the subtles collection or at least some of it. In the past I really didn't use the softer colors very much, mostly because I am a fan of darker, vibrant, brighter colors. But with the recent color rennovation I'm finding that I'm becoming more attracted to this collection. However, I didn't necessarily want full packs of every color. I have done ribbon shares in the past so I thought why not do a cardstock share? So I got in touch with my good friend Jayme over at Closet Stampin to see what she thought.... Well of course she thought it was a great idea (great minds think alike, right?) and here it is before the split. If you are in the same situation and dont want or need a ton of each color I would definitely suggest purchasing it this way :) this will give you plenty of every color plus allow you to figure out which ones you will use the most! Thanks for dtopping by!

Dreams Dejour

I have always loved this stamp set, and the Raspberry Tart paper makes this card happy and inspirational. I cant remember what the card design is called but I love the way it opens (almost like a mini suprise). Thanks for peeking in today!

8 Pocket Tag Book

Isn't this great? I love the idea and had to make one of my own when Jayme from Closet Stampin told me about the one she made recently at her stamp club  meeting. I was pleased with the way it turned out and as I was finishing it up I decided to leave the contents blank until the next time my husband deploys. Then I will fill it with pictures of us, little love notes, and words of inspiration. I will update you when that happens (suppose to be sometime in the fall :( . Thanks for peeking in today!

What do you do with your hat pins in the pretties kit?

I had no idea what to do with the hat pins in the pretties kit so I thought I would make an ornament as I'm still trying to beautify my studio. I got the idea here @ Stamp and Scrap with Frenchie. She has great tutorials and wonderful projects that she graciously shares. Thanks for peeking in today!

Operation Masculine Birthday take two!

I decided to go with this card style that I found here at Dawn's site. I love this quick easy design for my husband since I can not add too much bling. The paper folds and the way it opens keeps it simple but interesting. Thanks for peeking in today!

Explosion Box Purse Prototype

Look at this darling little cutie! I saw this at Qbees Quest and knew that I had to give it a try. Its super easy and Brenda has a wonderful tutorial. I was amazed at how quickly this came together. Seriously about 15 minutes from start to finish. I was looking for something unique to make for my husbands birthday next week, I will of course make his manly but I wanted to give this pattern a try first. I will show you soon what I come up with. Thanks for looking!

TA-DA!

Of course there is a little story to this. I purchased this picture frame from TK MAX, the United Kingdoms equivalent to TJ MAX, LOL. Anyway, it was a super awesome deal, and I had to have it; after all it was pink right? Well..... I honestly had no idea what I was going to do with it, we were in the process of moving to Germany and I didnt even have a house. It hung on the wall in my new scrapbook Studio (photos coming soon) empty and waiting for me to do something with it. Because Im trying to girlie up my room as much as possible, I decided to make cards to go in the frame and use it for decor. I think it turned out rather cute, but I am thinking of adding some embellishments to the matt to give it a bit more pizzaz! Hope you enjoyed!
