Throw Back Thursday- Thankful

I have so much to be thankful for. The freedom to sit here and post my thoughts and share my creativity, my family and close friends. But one thing I am feeling especially thankful for right now is my mac book. Haha, yep! I had a little scare last week and was unable to post because this old girl died (temporarily). So please forgive my tardiness on the bloggy-blog. Without further ado I give you my October swap card. I love the way this card turned out and was very disappointed when I created to learn that Stampin' Up discontinued the Four Feathers stamp set and coordinating framelit. Admittedly I am horrible about making purchases and waiting forever to use them. Hope you enjoy todays Throw Back Thursday. Thanks for peeking in....

Throw Back Thursday- Paper Dish

Today I bring to you a little paper dish made with 1 sheet of paper. I believe the dimensions were 10 x 10, but I will have to check. Its TBT so I made this awhile ago. This bowl is very easy to make, and has the capacity to hold quite a bit. Perfect for a coworker gift or to put on your desk and fill with candy. Hope you enjoy, thanks for peeking in...

Valentines -late post

Today will be a quick post. I just wanted to share the Valentine goodies I made for my guys. We don't make a huge deal out of Valentines Day, but I do like my husband and boys to know that I am thinking about them, so I always give them a little something; usually just some candy since they love it so much (haha). It  is sometime so difficult to keep things masculine being that I have so many papers and embellishments that are very feminine.  The Card below was made for my husband using the new Sky is the Limit stamp set in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Thanks for peeking in....

Botanical Blooms

I am officially in love. I played with the Botanical Blooms thinlits and stamp set briefly at Stampin Up's On Stage event in November. At that time I honestly wasn't all that excited about it. Well, that was in November and since that time the set has grown on me tremendously. I have seen so many beautiful projects and cards made with this set, that I took the plunge and purchased it last week. Well let me tell ya, this set is amazing. It will make any paper or card stock look gorgeous. The dyes really do all of the work for you. Below is my first of many projects featuring the New Botanical Blooms thinlits.  Thanks for peeking in....

I used the heart shaped banner pieces, the stamp set, and the ink to create my cards. The very last card was CASED from Pinterest, cute isn't it?  Check them out below. Throwback Thursday, a New Weekly Series

I was thinking that since the crafting and creating hasn't stopped even though I took a long break from blogging, that I would start a new weekly post. Throwback Thursdays will feature items I have made in the past but never posted. It could be a card or any home improvement project and even some furniture make overs. So here is the first of many posts. This is a gift tag for a Christmas tag swap with the gals in Texas. Thanks for peeking in.

It's A Boy

Today's share is an adorable little card that I received in a card swap last year when our theme was baby. I love the combination and the card just screams boy. I actually unmounted a portion of the top and and reattached it to another card base using dimensionals to pop it up. The new card base is more fitting for my pregnant friends theme and matched the rag quit.. Did a little extra stamping and voila! Thanks for peeking in.....

Paper Pumpkin Do -over

How is it Thursday already? I have been meaning to get this posted since the weekend. I will get into the swing of things eventually. For todays post I wanted to share what I created with my January Paper Pumpkin Kit. The kit consisted of pieces to make little Valentine treat holders and a banner. My kids are too old for classroom Valentines, and I have already decorated and have a cloth banner. So I did this instead. Thanks for peeking in....

Botanicals for You

Quick post today as I need to get busy on my Valentine cards so that I can get them out in the  mail. Here is a card that I created with the Botanicals For You stamp set that is currently available for FREE in the Stampin' Up Sale-A-Bration catalog. Yes, Free. With every $50 purchase you can choose a free product from the sale-a-bration catalog. This is probably my favorite time of the year when it comes to Stampin Up promotions! The card below was created for a friends birthday. I love this set because of the large bold greeting; when embossed it really pops! Thanks for peeking in.......

Testing out a few new Apps

Okay folks, let's face it blogging can be a lot of work. Really more time consuming than anything. I'm trying out new ways to blog so that I can make quick(ish) posts more frequently. I think this is honestly why I stopped blogging in 2012. But with technology there are so many ways to go about blogging now. My hope is that it will all flow quite smoothly from here on out.

So today's post is a recent swap I created for a group of lovely ladies out of San Antonio. Please forgive the watermark as I'm learning how to use a new app. I'm not quite sure that I like it. Just really sort of testing the software to be honest.

Making my comeback!

Can I do that after 4 years? I have thought about this blog on and off for about 6 months and I have finally made the decision to return to blogger land. I have been busy while I was away. We have had high school graduation, a military retirement and a relocation from Europe back to the United States. That is just the tip of the iceberg, but even with that I always made time for card making, other crafting and some small and not so small DIY projects. So...because I have been absent for so long I have loads to post. Over the next few weeks I will try to post daily with recent projects and occasionally I may reminisce about events and things Ive made awhile ago. Until next time.....
